What is the difference between motion control vs. motor control?

While many offer motor controls or drivers, this can be simply limited to supplying the amplifier stage to drive a motor. Motion control encompasses the full spectrum of user interface to resultant desired output function. Each element of software, electronics, mechanisms, and actuation play a role in the aggregate of motion control.
